Greetings in our Risen Lord Jesus Christ!
On behalf of Grace Lutheran Church, I welcome you to Kitchener-Waterloo and invite you to worship with us at Grace Lutheran Church. If you are new to the area and looking for a church home you will find a warm and welcoming community here at Grace. Bible Study begins each Sunday at 9:30 A.M. and worship begins at 10:45 A.M.
Post-secondary education is demanding (your author is a graduate of UW-’99 Co-op, Chemistry-and he remembers the academic grind) and draining both mentally and physically. Come and join us each week to practice your Christian faith, be supported by a loving and caring Christian community, and be strengthened by the good news of Jesus Christ.
Grace is a congregation of Lutheran Church-Canada, a synod and church which holds to the authority and infallibility of the Holy Bible, a young earth creation, and seeks to follow God’s Word in all aspects of life.
At Grace we value God’s Word preached purely, with a focus on the gospel of Christ and the sacraments of Holy Baptism and Holy Communion. We are a liturgical church, which means we follow a set order of service with a changing set of biblical readings each week. We have been blessed with many gifted musicians and if you are a musician or just like music, you can find a place in our choir or instrumental ensemble. We also enjoy many fellowship meals and events on Sundays and on weekdays. This fall we are also enjoying a lecture series called “The Worldview Lecture Series.” Come and join us on selected Sundays after worship for some stimulating talks which focus on the Christian and non-Christian world views.
University students: Grace is located about a 10-minute bus ride from WLU and a 15-minute bus ride from UW on Route 8. Get on Route 8 on the same side of the road as WLU and get off the bus on Margaret Avenue at Wellington Street. When you get off the bus, walk back down Margaret the way the bus came one block and Grace Lutheran Church will be at the corner of Margaret Avenue and Louisa Street (across from Margaret Avenue Public School). If you have a car our parking lot is off of Louisa Street, across from Margaret Avenue Public School. We’d also be happy to give you a ride to church on Sunday morning if you’d prefer. Call us at 519-742-7431 and leave a voicemail stating your name, address and phone number and we’ll have someone call you to arrange a ride.
Conestoga College students: You don’t want to take the bus, it’s too far, call us and we’ll give you a ride! Call us at 519-742-7431 and leave a voicemail stating your name, address and phone number and we’ll have someone call you to arrange a ride. If you have a car our parking lot is off Louisa Street, across from Margaret Avenue Public School.
Come and join us. The Lord bless your academic year, your social life and your walk with Jesus Christ.
